Help Juliana Fight Brain Cancer

Your Support Can Save a Life

Juli is a brave young woman who has faced numerous challenges since she was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer. Since the last update in March, we have witnessed both progress and new obstacles on her path to recovery.

Juli's progress has been remarkable, having completed radiation treatment on April 17th, during which she had to undergo a total of 30 sessions. However, she still experiences difficulties with her memory, coherence, and physical conditioning, which pose an ongoing challenge in her recovery.

The family's financial situation has worsened since March, as they have had to shoulder the costs of physical and cognitive therapies for Juli, as well as additional medications and medical appointments not covered by the hospital. Moreover, health insurance will not cover these extra expenses, adding financial pressure to the family.

Emotionally, the family continues to be affected by uncertainty and stress due to their prolonged stay in the United States and the difficulties of adapting to life in a foreign country. The lack of support for integrating Tomás into school and the refusal to study the language due to visa type have been particularly frustrating.

Although they have received a bit more financial support through recent donations, the pace has slowed down since Juli left the hospital. This has left the family worried about the accumulation of medical bills and the impact this could have on Juli.

Treatment plans have changed, and it is now expected that Juli will remain in the United States for approximately seven more months. The hospital's aid is limited to chemotherapy, leaving the family responsible for covering the rest of the medical costs.

Despite these challenges, the family maintains hope of being able to move Juli to Colombia to complete her treatment and find the best physical rehabilitation center for her. They are desperately seeking contacts that can facilitate this process and allow them to return to their home country.

In summary, Juli and her family continue to face significant obstacles in their fight against brain cancer. Your financial and emotional support is more important than ever as they navigate this difficult period. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference in the lives of Juli and her family. Join us in this fight and help us bring hope and relief to this brave young woman and her family!
