Hi!
My name is Nolan and I am young artist from Vancouver, Canada, trying to pursue a professional career in contemporary dance. I’ve recently graduated from Arts Umbrella, a non-profit center for arts education, where I have been training for the past 7 years in both their pre-professional and post-secondary dance programs. An amazing opportunity has come my way to be an apprentice in a brand new creation with a world-renowned choreographer. The creation will take place this summer in Europe for 6 weeks and I will get to be part of the world premiere of the evening-length work at the end of August. This opportunity is a huge chance for me to expand my network and launch my professional performance career! But as an apprentice invited into the process late in the planning stages, I am financially responsible for things like accommodations, costumes, travel fees, etc. Because of this, I’ve started this GoFundMe page in hopes of gathering a bit more support. I would be most grateful if you can find it in your hearts to help me take this huge step in my career and be a part of this once in a lifetime experience! Any and all contributions, no matter how big or how small, would be so helpful for me to pursue this dream. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Xoxo,
Nolan
