Help Peyton Kick Cancer in the Balls!

Hi everyone, my name is Kate Riley. Peyton Rowe-Gamez is my boyfriend of 5 years and a friend to many. In late May 2023, Peyton was very unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 3c Testicular Cancer after an ER visit for what we thought was appendicitis. It has spread to his lymph nodes, spine, and lungs. Peyton had his primary tumor as well as his appendix removed in early June.

A few days after surgery, Peyton developed a fever, and we spent the night in the ER. After a long 12 hours, the doctor informed us that the tumor was extremely aggressive in nature and Peyton was admitted to the hospital. He began chemo at KU med the next day; 2 weeks earlier than anticipated. Peyton is scheduled to go through 4 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy over the next two months.

At 23 years old, this is the last thing any of us could have ever expected. Peyton is currently a student paying his own way at the University of Kansas. He is studying supply chain management and working at Valvoline. He is out of work on short-term disability at the moment.

Our first priority is to cover the out-of-pocket medical bills that Peyton will start receiving soon as well as cryopreservation and ensuring his ability to father children in the future. Anything remaining will go towards help with rent, bills, etc that he will also need to be paying while going through chemo.
