Help Schuh Family Recover After Devastating Wildfire Loss
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We’re reaching out to share the heartbreaking story of the Schuh family—Aaron, Karla, and their three wonderful children. They’ve endured unimaginable challenges over the past five years and now face a devastating new blow.
The Eaton Fire recently tore through their neighborhood, leaving homes in ashes. Though their rented house still technically stands, it’s been rendered unlivable due to overwhelming smoke and soot damage. With their landlord’s home destroyed, the Schuh family has been displaced, left homeless, and searching for stability.
But this wildfire is just the latest hardship in their long fight to stay afloat:
• Aaron’s work as a TV camera operator came to a halt during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the entertainment industry shut down.
• Just as he was starting to recover, unprecedented industry-wide strikes last year caused his work to stop once again.
• Aaron and Karla have taken every gig and side job they could find, but it hasn’t been enough.
Now, with their home uninhabitable, they’ve lost much of what they worked so hard to hold on to—memories, stability, and their sense of home.
Why $65,000?
The Schuh family’s challenges go beyond finding new housing. This amount will give them the opportunity not only to recover after this disaster but also from years of hardship.
The goal of $65,000 isn’t just about immediate relief—it’s about helping this beloved family rebuild and get back on their feet after years of financial hardship without carrying the burden of disaster-related expenses.
The Schuh family has shown nothing but resilience and love through every challenge. Now they need our help to move forward.
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference. And if you can’t contribute financially, sharing their story helps more than you know.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support in helping the Schuhs recover from their most difficult chapter yet.
With gratitude,
Georgia (Karla’s friend from college) and Megan (Karla and Aaron’s friend from church)
