Help Tahi and Ryley's Dream become a reality

Ryley Perman and Tahi Winikerei

were selected for the 2022 ACT State Futsal Team Tournament. Their previous performance representing their school at other competitions was recognised by various selectors. The tournament took place in Brisbane in September 25th to September 30th 2022.

Though their team did not make it into the finals, On the 30th of September Tahi and Ryley received an invitation from an Australian representative futsal team member congratulating the boys on their performance at the 2022 National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane and were given the best news and a once in a life time opportunity and a dream come true, that they have now been selected for the Australian Team that will tour Brazil in August 2023, Also representing their school.

The experience in Brisbane was amazing, we had a great time, and though we lost, we tried our best, gave it our all and had fun. I rang my mum and told her how we were not doing well and her advice was " Tell the boys to keep their headsup, enjoy the game, and try our hardest because you never know who's watching",. Now being offered a spot into the Australian Team and going to Brazil next year is truly my dream, becoming a reality, Brazil, I think is every soccer/futsal player's wish and representing Australia is an honour, Really looking forward to sharing this experience with Ryley.

Traveling to Brisbane to represent ACT was Amazing. It was great just being part of a team and meeting new people from over Australia in futsal. When my mum told me I was asked to represent Australia in Brazil I was shocked. I thought it was a joke. My face hasn’t stopped smiling since and I can’t wait to travel with my mate Tahi to Brazil to represent not only Amaroo school, but my country.

The family of Tahi Winikerei and Ryley Perman are now looking for help in funding their trip to Brazil 2023. The cost for each boy is $8,500, which covers registration, accommodation for the 14 days, breakfast and dinner, uniforms and return airfares.

The GoFundme amount would cover all costs plus extra meals, emergencies and any other costs involved.
