Help Support the Megia Family

Donation protected
Tragically Paul DelaCruz Megia was taken from his family too early on May 26th.  As Assistant Superintendent of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, he was committed to his career, giving his all. His supervisor shared he had a calming effect on others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his employees.  When the mass shooting took place, Paul's instinct was caring for others and in his final moments, he risked his life to keep his brothers and sisters of the VTA safe.  He was a HERO in that moment showing strength and courage and his action will never be forgotten.

Paul was a loving devoted husband, an amazing father, dependable son, brother, uncle and friend to many.  If anyone knows Paul he was a hardworking family man who was very caring and always saw the positive in life.  He would greet you with his bright shining smile and warm wishes.  Although a hard worker, he lived life fully and  knew how to have fun spending his weekends with his family boating, wakeboarding, snowboarding or hiking in Yosemite.

He will be missed by so many.  Especially his wonderfully close family.  His loving wife Nicole, step-son Kyle, father Leonard, mother Edna, sisters Julie and Luci and his three beautiful children Nate, Gavin and Avery.  He spoiled everyone with his giving heart and always put his family first.

These children have lost their rock and will need help for their futures.  Please consider donating to help this wonderful family. All generously donated funds will go directly to Nicole as they navigate through this difficult time. These funds will be spent on funeral expenses, unforeseen bills, and for their children, Nathan, Gavin, Avery and Kyle.
