Helping Kate Pifer's Family

Hello, I wanted to this start this GoFundMe to help out Kate Pifer's husband Jake and 4 beautiful children during this very difficult time that they are going through. Kate was only 40 when she fell asleep on Oct 10th, 2023. For the past 8 years there have been many challenges she has faced starting with the discovery of breast cancer which led to being diagnosed a year later with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in her bones. Just before she passed the cancer had also spread to her lung and liver. She was a great friend and had such an immense love for her family making sure they had anything and everything they would need and refused to be a burden them. Sometimes Kate was hard to read so the pain that she was in wasn't always shown to everyone else, but she was such a fighter, and everyone admired her faith, strength and the will power to continue pushing through regardless of all that suffering.

In the midst of all of the fighting to survive for her family and helping to figure out which treatments or cures to do, visiting what hospitals have dealt with the same situation before, taking flights to meet new doctors that could help her figure out the best plan, trying new medical trials... and the list could go on... Kate's family has incurred a substantial amount of debt that is now left in Jake's name and on his hands. While he just spent the last of what he had pulled together for his wife's funeral costs, he is also still grieving and has 4 children to support without life insurance coming his way.
