Dave is a valued member of staff who started his career with Plumbcare.com in 2019. Dave has made a huge impact on the business with his attentive customer service and plumbing expertise and has been a real asset to the business in this time, as well as good friend to many. Dave’s story would be a tragedy for anyone, but he really is one of the nicest people and most valued staff member, so it comes as a huge blow.

 

Diagnosed with terminal cancer aged just 34

 

Heartbreakingly, Dave has recently had a devastating diagnosis. Aged just 34, Dave has two types of lung cancer and a secondary tumour in his brain. The cancer is incurable, and he has received the terrible news that he will not survive it.

 

Dave has two young boys, Harley aged 10 and Blake aged 7, and has recently married his long term partner, Laura, following his diagnosis. What he wants now is to make some amazing memories with his family so that he can maximise the time he has with them and give his young family something they can treasure forever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crowdfunding to allow Dave to make some precious memories with his young family

 

With Dave’s permission, we at Plumbcare.com wanted to do something positive. We have set up this fundraising page to raise as much money as we can to allow Dave the freedom to use his precious time well.

 

To boost our crowdfunding efforts, we have organised a sponsored walk in Derbyshire which will take place on 15th January 2022. Many colleagues from Plumbcare.com will be taking part in the 10K walk at as will members of Dave’s family and friends. The event is intended to be a joyful celebration of our friendship and working relationship with Dave as well as a challenge to raise some well-deserved funds.
