Honoring Gordon Morris

To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, Gordon Morris passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020, after a hard-fought battle with Coronavirus. What has happened is beyond comprehension, and we are all still in shock. Understandably Kim is struggling to cope, so Jeff and I are stepping in and organizing something to help ease the burden.
Gordon was loved by many. He was an extremely intelligent man with wisdom way beyond his years, and willing to share that knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He was also willing to learn. He desired knowledge. Gordon made fun moments teachable moments. He was thoughtful in his speech, yet direct. Gordon was a helper - he'd leave a project open at home to help someone in need. And he never expected anything in return. He worked HARD. He played HARD. He loved HARD. He lived HARD. And sadly he died HARD.
We have received numerous emails, texts, and messages from people asking how to help, so this was created to offer a place to help ease the financial burden ahead of Kim. As many of you know, Gordon was a self-employed MacGyver. Self-employment brings many freedoms. And those who knew Gordon, know he loved freedom! But now a two-income family has suddenly been reduced to one.
To honor Gordon in death, as we did in life, his wishes were followed and he was cremated. In his words, "Who are we to take up a 3 x 8 piece of the ground forever." We will celebrate his life and memory at a later date in hopes that it will be safer to gather when the weather is warmer and we can celebrate him where he loved to be the most - outside!
Coronavirus is real! Coronavirus affects everyone differently. Don't be mistaken in thinking you are safe. Gordon was extremely cautious and wise in regards to the pandemic. Wait, I said that wrong. “It’s a plague, not a pandemic. And it’s not from China, it’s from Hell!” Gordon’s words again in the midst of fighting so HARD! Gordon was the strongest man many ever knew. Even real-life superheroes face kryptonite. Don't let Gordon's death be in vain, take the virus SERIOUS.
