In Memory of Betty J. Hunter-Williams
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Ms. Betty Williams. Betty passed away September 29, 2020.
Betty was diagnosed with leukemia in 2016 and underwent aggressive chemotherapy in 2017. Just when she thought she had achieved a breakthrough, an unexpected mass appeared in 2018 which led to a second round of chemotherapy. She started to feel overwhelmed. Her family encouraged her to stay strong and to keep fighting. Her children and grandchildren gave her comfort and joy through a very intense process which was hard for everyone. Betty lost her fight after a hard four year battle. Betty was loved by many - especially her wonderful children, Melvin, Earl, Pamela, Omar and preceded in passing by Gregory Smith. Survived by her loving sisters, Sylvia and Rose, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of
other relatives and friends.
We will miss her smile and loving heart immensely. As we prepare to say farewell,
The Family is asking due to COVID 19, In lieu of flowers, please support your gift as a donation towards the
fight to help fund the research of Leukemia Cancer or other expenses.
