JASON HAWK CANCER FUND
Donation protected
My husband, Jason Hawk has been diagnosed with cancer. After a year of working despite the pain, Jason finally went to the doctor. A few months of extensive tests, determined the cause to be a malignant tumor. The cancer is advanced but isolated and has not spread. The doctors had recommended six weeks of intensive chemotherapy and radiation five days a week followed by stronger chemo therapy for 4-5 months. If the tumor has shrunk sufficiently after the chemo, Jason will have surgery. when Jason has fully recovered from surgery, we will hopefully be able to resume our knife business.
Jason is a multi-media artist, master blade smith, and a reality TV personality best known for our family's participation on History Channel's Mountain Men. He is best described as a renaissance man with many skills and interests. His greatest joy in life is sharing his love of the outdoors and his skills with his three children, Kamui (Kai), River, and Madeline (Maddie).
Unfortunately, our contract with History Channel was not renewed, so we will no longer be filming with Mountain Men.
Some of you have watched our family struggle through challenging times in the Ozarks. We have always found ways to be self-reliant and provide for our family. My husband's diagnosis of cancer at age 45 has been a humbling experience, creating the realization that we can't do this alone. We are going to need help with mounting medical bills and our living expenses over this coming year.
We are truly grateful to all of our friends and family who have sent us care packages and brought by supplies over the last couple of months. Your kindness and gifts have truly touched our hearts and lives. With the help from all of the people in our lives, we are hopeful that Jason has a chance of seeing his children grow up
