Support Aaron's Fight Against ALS

Donation protected
Hi, This is my dad Aaron (48) and in August of 2023, He was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. In summary this is a neuro degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causes loss of muscle control, gets worse overtime, has no cure and ultimately leads to death 2-5 years after diagnoses. This disease is extremely rare and only develops in 1.5 to 3 people per 100,000 worldwide every year.

Without putting too much information out, I would like to give you a little back story on how we got here. Starting in about 2019-2020, Aaron started developing symptoms that we didn’t think very much of at first. He started getting muscle cramps/spasms in his legs and arms and his fingers would lock up sometimes. We had no idea what any of this could be or mean. Fast forward to 2022, Aaron started seeing a neurologist. He had MRI’s and EMG’s along with an examination of his reflexes, muscle strength, and many other responses. It took a handful of doctors and many many months to figure out the devastating diagnoses which is known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Aaron has now been with the diagnoses for 10 months. As of now, he has trouble walking without braces but even with the braces, it’s a struggle to not trip. He has spasms and gets cramps in his ankles, calf’s, and thighs along with his arms as he sleeps and once he wakes up in the morning. These spams are a sign of muscle wasting and degeneration of cells which is known as atrophy. He has to go to Washington University every couple months to get looked at by a dozen doctors and get so many tests done that cost a fortune but maybe just maybe we could raise enough for my dad to continue living without the struggle of feeling different.

With this gofundme, I would like to give my dad the opportunity to have the help he needs without stress of payments. He will need an immense amount of medical supplies along with a wheelchair accessible van to get him from place to place.

I sincerely appreciate the time you took to read through this and I hope you and your families stay blessed. Any donations are welcome and greatly appreciated! If anything please spread the word to anyone and everyone
