Justice for Dimitri

My husband and I, were newly married were heading south on i25 for our baby shower when a 8x repeat drunk driving offender and illegal alien flipped a u-turn on the highway 10ft in front of us. My side of the car made first impact with his vehicle, causing a devastating crash that lead to my son's death. Even with our medical insurance we were left with close to $100,000 in medical debt. I have been left disabled from the crash as my own injuries were very severe; nearly causing my own death as well.
The effect of illegal's choices of drinking and driving are rarely spoken of; but it has hollowed out our small family. We started the Justice for Dimitri campaign in New Mexico were our crash occurred, and poured our hearts into seeing stiffer laws in the state for repeat drunk driving offenders. We are continuing the push to see DWI reform, and putting a spotlight on the tremendous number of those who have been killed by illegal aliens. The remaining medical debt continues to haunt our family, and are finding ourselves unable to meet the demands of this medical burden.
