Beirut and Beyond Documentary Film
Tax deductible
Beirut and Beyond is happy to announce our two-year birthday this month!
Most new organizations don’t survive their first two years but thanks to your support, we are still here and we are expanding. We want to both celebrate this milestone and continue looking to the future. For our birthday present, we would like to invite your engagement with our first full project:
Documentary Film
A dream of one of our Palestinian friends is to make a film based on the lives of young Palestinian men in refugee camps. This film will center on these young men and their families, current day-to-day situations, and the many obstacles they face as permanent refugees in host countries. This is his vision and he is writing the script, we are just providing the tools to make this happen! Help us make this dream come true and give these young men a voice.
Phase One of the documentary film project will be the advance scouting and preparation phase. Beirut and Beyond is sending our Executive Director, Suzann Mollner, back to the Middle East in November for 3 months to help our local friends accomplish:
- A finalized script
- Location scouting
- Complete selection of interviewees and film participants
- Shooting and editing footage for a short movie trailer
The short movie trailer is a precursor to the grant applications we are actively pursuing to fund the later phases of this project. However, we need $10,000 to begin this important collaborative work with our Palestinian partners. Will you join with us to raise funds for this 1st Phase? The budget includes travel, location scouting, equipment, editing, and expenses on the ground.
You can either give through our GoFundMe campaign for this project, or set-up sustainable monthly giving to support our organization’s work through the year. All donations given to both GoFundMe and Beirut and Beyond are tax deductible.

We seek to enhance the beauty and dignity of Palestinian communities by partnering with individuals and organizations involved in relief and reconciliation.
