Chris’s Cancer Treatment

If you have been brought to this fundraiser then you either know my brother, Chris Arnold, or know his family. It brings me so much agony to bring this to light, however, The Arnold family has been burdened with a difficult journey ahead.

Chris Arnold, my oldest brother, has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of testicular cancer. When diagnosed in October of 2023, after many blood tests, scans, and numerous trips back and forths with the doctors; the solution would be that Chris would undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. The hope was all would be fine and the cancerous tumor would be removed from his body. This in-depth procedure took place in November of 2023.

As weeks passed, and as Chris healed mentally and physically from this surgery, more scans of his body were completed to ensure they had removed all of the cancer. Right before Christmas of 2023, one of the scans showed that cancer had spread to his lymph node behind his heart and lung. Of course, the doctors wanted to act right away, but with Chris and Brittany trying to start a family, they wanted to get a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis and plan of treatment. The diagnosis was not only confirmed, but now even more serious as he learned that his limp node grew 3 cm with cancerous cells.

As of right now, the plan is for Chris to get more blood work done to conclude if the cancer has infected his blood. The treatment would be either a very aggressive type of chemo, or an 8-hour open-body invasive surgery where they go in and try to remove said cancer that is currently in his body. Doctors are leaning more towrds the surgery at the moment.

At this point, the particular treatment of the invasive surgery is no guarantee that Chris would be cancer-free, and the probability of chemo might still be outcome after the surgery.

Having said all that, we are seeking help from our family and friends to ease some of the financial burdens that Chris and Brittany are about to face.

Chris will be without work for a minimum of three months if not longer. Brittany will be taking as much time off in order to care for Chris’ needs.

So, as a community that I know loves Chris as much as I do, my efforts here are to relieve the future burdens.

These funds will go to medical bills and monthly expenses to let him solely focus on recovering. We are asking for support in any way you can provide. That may look differnt for his loved ones- support may be a monetary donation, for others that may be your time by praying, or bringing them a meal.

Our prayer is that Chris will heal and completely recover from this diagnosis, and in time be on that racetrack doing what he loves!! Thank you all for taking the time to be on here and read through Chris’s journey. We appreciate all the love, prayer, and support!!

God never promised that there wouldn’t be a storm, He promised He would be there with us to carry us out of it.

I know my God, and so does Chris, and He will be with us every step of the way.

Chris’s surgery went well. He is at home recovering, unfortunately he has to undergo chemo to give him his best chances of stopping the cancer from returning. As some of you know, he is also expecting a baby girl later this year as well. We appreciate all of the help and the support we have received. Chris will continue to kick cancer butt and get back out there on the racetrack!
