Future National Cheerleading Champions
My incredible students need YOUR support to pay for their travel costs, accommodations, and meals for the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida.
My Students
I am a teacher and cheerleading coach at a Title I school in Washington Heights in a marginalized and under-resourced community. Leveraging the strength of their families and community, our students and families overcome personal and financial hardships to provide incredible opportunities for their children to live out their dreams. One of the opportunities they have is cheerleading. They find solace and success in cheerleading. My students have persevered as scholar-athletes, maintaining at least a 80 percent GPA or above while attributing to a positive school culture. On top of having school days that are 9 hours long, each cheerleader persists for long nights and Saturday practices to receive a bid to the UCA Cheerleading Nationals Championship.
Our school deserves the same opportunities that other districts are granted.
As a school we believe that academic and character growth is a shared journey where we face challenges and celebrate our successes with grit, optimism, and love. We need your support to achieve our mission as a school.

My Project
In only its second year of existence our school's cheerleading team has qualified for the most prestigious cheerleading competition in the country: The UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida! The competition team is represented by 21 outstanding scholar-athletes who share the same dream of becoming national champions.
In order for the team to achieve this once in a lifetime opportunity, we need your help!
Our students need your support to make this opportunity become a reality! Not only will the team experience the NHSCC but it will give them an opportunity to travel and expand their life experience.
We want them to develop the mindset that their dreams can be accomplished through hard work and perseverance. Our students have worked really hard in these two years to develop a world-class cheerleading team and we need your support to continue that journey! Our cheerleading team needs your help to make our way to Nationals.
