Lets raise money and awareness for our local soup kitchens!
On July 7th, 2024, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when we lost our beloved dad.
Over the past few years, Sunderland community Soup Kitchen became a place of refuge and support for him. In honor of his memory, and to continue his passion for Community and togetherness, I aim to raise funds to support the Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen.
Our dad was a firm believer in community and bringing people together. He found great comfort in knowing that places like Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen existed to support the vulnerable.
To honor his legacy, I've set a goal to raise £250 by September 8th, 2024, where i ran the Great North Run. Running a half marathon is something I never thought I could do again the moment dad died, but I DID IT, raising an amazing £1280.
This December would have been my dads 49th birthday, and to mark the occasion and to do something to give back to the Charity that supported him I am doing a blind book sale. This way you can choose a book completely at random, which will be wrapped and have an additional incentive for the new year for your massage treatments with me as well as donate to this amazing charity.
If you’re able to contribute financially, your donations will go directly to Sunderland Soup Kitchen to help them continue their incredible work. But we understand that not everyone can give money, and that’s okay. In lieu of a donation, we urge you to look into your local soup kitchens and see how they’re supporting your community. There are many ways to help the vulnerable, whether through volunteering, donations, or simply spreading the word.
Thank you for your support, whether it’s through a donation, volunteering, or keeping our dad’s spirit alive by helping others. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most, just like Dad always wanted.
And as our dad used to say... we have to harness in the good and push out the bad!
