Little Cemetery Chapel Project

Little Cemetery is a unique and historic place, the final resting place of our friends and family and in some cases several generations of our family. Many people in our area and across the country have strong emotional ties to this cemetery.
The Chapel in the Little Cemetery desperately needs a new roof, some exterior and interior repairs, and new plumbing. The Cemetery is owned and operated by Seminole County. As most of you know, public funding is tight and the county has lost free prison labor which has resulted in increased operational expenses for upkeep of the cemetery.
Seminole County Commissioner Tim Porter has been exploring options to fix the Chapel. Several community residents have come together and offered help in raising private funds for this project.
The goal is to raise $15,000 to make the needed repairs and improve the overall condition of this historic building. We want this building to be an attractive, functional chapel that will continue to serve as a gathering place for funerals and special events.
We are asking for your support in this endeavor and asking you to share this link with others who might be willing to help. Please consider making a donation to the "Little Cemetery Chapel Fund." There will be a plaque on the building recognizing donations of $100 or more. All donations will be processed through the Seminole County Commissioner account and will be set aside specifically for use on the Chapel. Funds cannot be used for any other purpose.
