Lost At Sea: Help us help a community

This fund-raising initiative has been established by the survivors of the recent sea-going emergency in Indonesia.

The fund’s aims are: to assist and support the family and community of the one crew member who is still missing, to compensate the people who committed their time and resources to the rescue effort, and to help ensure nothing like this happens again.



Mission:
 Our primary goal is to aid the Indonesian Haloban community, who helped save a group of strangers’ lives despite still having a family member missing. We will allocate a meaningful portion of the funds raised to provide essential support to this community and to the family of Fifan Satria during and beyond this traumatic time.



Expressing Gratitude:
 We also seek to extend gratitude and recompense to the individuals, businesses, and organisations who took part in the ongoing search and rescue operation. These teams volunteered their resources, time, and efforts without a second thought, and where possible, we will use these funds to relieve the financial burden of their rescue effort.



Maritime Safety Enhancement:
 We will dedicate a portion of any funds raised to the enhancement of maritime safety in the Banyak region. By investing in updates to safety protocols, equipment, and infrastructure, we hope to contribute to preventing future incidents and ensuring the well-being of those who navigate these waters.



Supporting Wider Initiatives:
 Any surplus funds will be channelled to a reputable registered charity with a proven track record of elevating safety standards and enhancing the capabilities of local marine personnel, their equipment, and health and safety measures in remote Indonesian areas.
