My name is Don McGee, originally from Lawton, Oklahoma, where I ran as a member of the 1978 State Championship Track team at Eisenhower High School.
Fast forward some 35+ years later, I am currently a member of the USA Track & Field Master's Program and I compete in the (55-59) age catergory. I am currently the 2016 World Champion in the 100 meter & the 200 meter run, which I won in Perth, Australia.
I am trying to raise funds to go and compete in the 2018 World Masters Outdoor Championship Track & Field meet in Malaga, Spain (4-17 Sep, 2018).
My goal is to go to Malaga, Spain and win Gold in the following events: 100 meter run, 200 meter run & 400 meter run, which is a feat that is very hard to do in track & field. I also plan to run on the 4x100 meter relay & 4x400 meter relay. With your help, I believe very strongly that I can achieve this goal.
I have been running for the USATF Masters Program for the past 6 years, and I have won multiple Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field championships in the 60 meter, 100 meter & 200 meter run, in Spain I am adding the 400 meter run and some other events as well.
The funds will be used to pay for Airfare, hotel accommodations, rental car, registration fee, and other miscellaneous fees associated with traveling while abroad. I will be in Malaga, Spain for 14 days. I have attached some videos of some of my races for your viewing.
