Will you help support Hoboken’s historic arts community at Neuman Leathers?

The Neumann Leathers Building has been the workspace for many of Hudson County’s most acclaimed artists, musicians, and makers for over thirty years. The facility needs rehabilitation, and the City of Hoboken has adopted an initial proposal for redevelopment. Neumann’s current creative tenants, known as The Neumann Arts & Creative Organization, has been allocated 70k SF of space in the redevelopment plan so our community can continue to thrive.

We are fortunate to have Ira Karasick as our lawyer to help secure reasonable terms for our group. Ira successfully led the fight against a previous development plan to evict Neumann tenants in 2009. Although members of our community have already recently contributed to our legal fund, we need to raise additional funds so we can continue to preserve Hoboken’s historic arts community.
