Patti & Elizabeth need help after a car accident

Our cousins Jenny and Chris Soberg's girls, Elizabeth Jenssen (25) and Patti Soberg (26) were involved in a horrible rear-end collision earlier this week. Patti was driving her cousin, Elizabeth to meet her mother Jenny to head home to Arkansas. They were near their midway meeting place, about 6 hours from their respective homes when Patti's car was rear-ended while at a complete stop. They were hit by a Tahoe that never even touched the brakes and was said to be going about 90 mph. Patti's car was then pushed forward into a minivan. Her car then hopped over the curb and landed in the middle of the grassy area between the highway and the frontage road. The minivan was then pushed into a pickup truck.

Elizabeth and Patti had to be air-lifted from the scene to ICU Medical Center in Plano, TX. They both remain in ICU having suffered multiple traumas and requiring ventilators.

Elizabeth suffered multiple broken bones and life-threatening internal injuries that have and will still require multiple-stage surgeries as she can tolerate them. She remains in the ICU and will require a significant level of care throughout her recovery.

Patti, who was initially thought to be progressing well and moving towards discharge, suffered a stroke requiring emergency surgery to release pressure on her brain. She remains ventilated in the ICU. She also has a long road ahead and will require a significant level of care throughout her recovery.

These two young ladies were simply trying to spend time together as a family when this horrible accident occured. They are both about 6 hours away from home and need their family with them. We are setting up this GoFundMe in an effort to raise funds to help their mothers, Jenny and Chris, be at their side during this scary and critical time in their journey. They are also certain to have significant medical expenses and lost wages impacting their lives and futures.
