Thank you for taking the time to read about an extraordinary man and his family. David is a wonderful father, most loving husband, best brother, cousin and friend. He is generous, hard working and truly can build and fix anything!! I believe anyone that has been blessed to have seen his carpentry skills and mechanic abilities can testify how truly amazing his talent is (He has helped my family and I out of many disasters). It is now our turn to help support and rebuild a man that is always a phone call away when we need him.
As most of you know David was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and underwent a drastic surgery (1 of 8 surgeries) to remove the tumor that surrounded his esophagus. He remained in ICU at Franklin Square for 18 days. Without any complaints he handled his new journey as calm and cool as David always presents himself. Unfortunately, David and Jennifer recently found out that the cancer has returned. At this time, they are not sure the type of cancer if it's the same or if it has mutated. They will be traveling in a couple weeks to The Cancer Center in Philadelphia to learn more about future treatments.
David and Jennifer's strength and grace amaze me everyday. They have two children (13 year old and a 3 year old) that haven't missed a basketball/football game or a cheer competition since David's diagnosis. Even through their own struggles they are always right there when you need them. It is my hope that we can do the same for this amazing family.
With the money collected I hope it takes some of the burden off of them so they can solely focus on healing and KICKING CANCERS BUTT for the second time!!As we all know bills add up very quickly...they will both be taking some time off of work to travel to Philadelphia to seek answers. They will be staying in a hotel for a few days, food, gas and future treatment can become very expensive very quickly...Did I mention they purchased their first home right before his diagnosis. This family is truly amazing and they do not let anything stand in their way. No amount is too small and is very much appreciated. Please feel free to spread the word to your family and friends and say an extra prayer or send a healing thought there way. Again, thank you to everyone for your support!
