The 4th Annual PKD Fundraiser Event

Hey everyone! My name is TJ Sullivan. Here I am, heart in hand, asking for your help. Every year, I host an annual event that brings a community of friends, family and strangers together. This exciting night is full of fantastic surprises, live music, delicious food, and chances to win awesome prizes! This year's theme: "Battle of The Decades" kicks off on Sunday, December 2nd from 1:00-5:00pm at the Knights of Columbus (106 Bergen Avenue) in Ridgefield Park, NJ.  This year, we're bringing it back to the totally tubular days of the 80's & 90's and battling it out- bringing a sense of fun to a night full of heart and purpose!

That purpose is Polycystic Kidney Disease, or PKD for short. PKD is a chronic genetic kidney disorder, characterized by the growth of cysts on the kidneys. PKD cysts can profoundly enlarge the kidneys, while replacing much of their normal structure, resulting in reduced kidney function, leading to dialysis and kidney failure. My beautiful grandma (Mommom as her grand-kids call her) has PKD, and I am doing all I can to assist her during her battle. 

Mommom was diagnosed with PKD just about 26 years ago. She has fought this disease with such strength. Her kidney function has recently dropped significantly. She is at 20% kidney function- officially in "renal failure." Because of the way her kidneys are allocated, combined with the progressive nature of PKD- now is the time to act! It's time for our family to start considering dialysis or being tested for a transplant.

These events help us raise money for the fight! A portion of all proceeds goes towards the PKD Foundation- the only organization dedicated to finding treatments/a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease. The other portion goes towards our personal donation fund, which raises money for the inevitable transplant surgery & costly medical bills our family will need to face. Tricky Tray and 50/50  will be held at additional fee.
