Please help Pei Zhen heal: a family urgently seeking support

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted souls,

My name is Chen yi , and I find myself in a position I never imagined I'd be in: reaching out to you for support on behalf of my beloved mother Pei Zhen. I know that asking for donations can feel uncomfortable, but I humbly request your help, no matter how small the contribution—every little bit means the world to us.

My mom was once a vibrant woman who loved beauty and fashion. However, in 2015, she was diagnosed with the rare disease scleroderma, followed by a diagnosis of severe rheumatoid arthritis in 2016. These illnesses have caused her white blood cell count to soar, resulting in tight skin and stiffness that has confined her to her bed.

After numerous hospital visits, and countless surgeries, she now relies on a wheelchair and makes three trips to the hospital each week for various treatments. The prolonged pain and her inability to move freely have taken a toll on her spirit, leading her to experience depression & insomnia. Once full of life, she now faces the harsh reality of needing to wear adult diapers, which has further deepened her struggle.

In August 2024, my mother faced a terrifying moment when she vomited blood and had to be rushed to the hospital. After extensive tests, doctors informed us that her cancer index are high, and there are signs of pulmonary fibrosis. Unfortunately this condition is incurable, and we can only hope to manage its progression or consider the possibility of a lung transplant. This news was yet another heavy blow for our family.

While we are grateful that she is still with us, the road to recovery is daunting, filled with endless treatments, medical appointments, and possibly more surgeries. The rising medical expenses are overwhelming, and we are faced with the harsh reality of costs that insurance will not cover. From surgeries to physical therapy and medications, the financial burden is becoming too great to bear alone.

We sincerely ask for your kindness to help give my mother Pei Zhen some chance of beneficial treatment. Any amount, no matter how small, can significantly impact her treatment and allow us to focus on her recovery instead of financial stress.
