Support Jess; pregnant, rare cancer diagnosis and limb loss
Donation protected
Jess' world was turned upside down at 25 weeks pregnant with a devastating diagnosis: Epithelioid Sarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer. Urgent surgery to amputate her left leg marked the beginning of her courageous battle.
As Jess' sister, I'm reaching out for help to support her, her husband Nick, and their young family during this life-altering journey. Unfortunately, this unassuming lump in her calf grew 27cm up to her knee bone, began eroding her calf bone and also spread to regional lymph nodes.
The road so far, and ahead is daunting:
- 1. Emergency surgery to remove her left leg and affected lymph nodes
- 2. Premature birth, with their baby spending weeks/months in NICU
- 3. 4 rounds of chemotherapy
- 4. Prosthetic leg fitting and rehabilitation
The funds raised will directly support:
- $85k Full-time caregiver for newborn and assist with 3yo
- $30k Overnight nanny while Jess in chemotherapy treatment
- $145k+ House modifications for lift/ bathroom accessibility and safety updates
- $15k - Electric Wheelchair
- $Unknown - Prosthetic leg, training, and mobility equipment
- $Unknown - Future trial treatments and surgeries (Not confirmed)
Jess' strength and positivity inspires us all, but even the strongest need support during hard times. Your donation, big or small, will make a significant impact on Jess, Nick, and their family.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and generosity.
Sending Love,
Kristy xx
