Meet Ghost
Ghost is fighting for his life right now.
Ghost was a resident in our yard when we moved into our house 3 years ago. He is very friendly and was always eager for our attention and any food we had to offer.
On Saturday we found Ghost sitting on our porch, soaking wet and with a fresh 6" long gash down the side of his body. We rushed him to the vet without a second thought.
After the vet checked him she mentioned that she couldn't listen to his heart over his loud purring. He seemed overjoyed that someone was touching him. The vet was glad we brought him in because the wound would have become septic.
What we didn't realize is that Ghost had been chronically starving. He is nothing but skin and bones. This along with severe dehydration, a heart condition, unbalanced electrolights, fluid in the lungs and critical potassium levels is leaving Ghost struggling after his surgery. The vet is doing everything they can to help him.
We have taken on the mounting vet bills. They are WAY beyond what we can afford. But the other option would be that the SPCA would have put him down. We are asking for help in ANY way you can. Even food, litter, bedding or other supplies.
We hope that Ghost can come home and our wish for him is to get fat, fluffy and healthy like he deserves.
Thank you for listening to our story.
