IF YOU CAN'T AMOUNT TO AN ARTWORK, CONSIDER THAT EVERY BIT OF HELP COUNTS; PLEASE DONATE.
Why this fundraiser
The living situation of Ukrainian society has become critical given the Russian military invasion. Hundreds of people of all ages have lost their lives or are being injured by the continuous shelling of residential areas, schools, hospitals, and all types of civilian buildings. Millions of people are evacuating to border towns to cross as war refugees searching for asylum in neighboring countries. Another part of Ukrainians has decided to help resist by generating local communities and reinforcing the defense of the military corps. The situation is devastating for Ukrainians and the whole world.
About the fundraiser
The Arts Aid project hosts this fundraiser to raise funds to help people affected by the war in Ukraine. The artworks donated by artists will be posted on Instagram. Interested people can acquire the works once they have donated the same amount in the fundraiser on GoFoundMe.
About Arts Aid
Arts Aid was born as a community of international artists to create a support network for Ukrainian people trying to resist the invasion, seek refuge outside the country, or are vulnerable due to the war.
Who are the recipients of this Fundraiser
This funding will be sent to these projects based on the donations collected. 100% of the amount will be donated once the artist has covered the cost of production (which can be counted, not including the artist's labor) to the following carefully selected projects with the guidance of Ukrainian cultural workers to meet three main themes: advocacy, protection of vulnerable groups and fleeing. Ukrainian artists will get 100% of their sales:
Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund
Independent artists, curators, and cultural workers of Ukraine have a right to live, be safe, and continue their work.
To deal with the consequences of the Russian invasion and threats the war poses on the Ukrainian art community – (MOCA) Museum of Contemporary Art NGO, in partnership with Zaborona, The Naked Room and Mystetskyi Arsenal established the Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund.
Survival/emergency needs:
1) support for cultural workers who have remained in Ukraine and urgently need support to ensure a basic standard of living and security.
Development needs:
2) to ensure the visibility of Ukrainian culture in Ukraine and abroad, we support cultural workers and artists in Ukraine and those who relocated abroad after the start of a full-scale Russian war against Ukraine. We strive to support:
3) individual creative activity of artists and cultural workers

Victoria Pidus and Volo Bevza:
The two Ukrainian artists, based in Berlin, were affected by the war when visiting Kyiv for a Bevza exhibition. Unable to cross the border, they settled in Lviv, where they started working with a local community to strengthen resistance.
