Rest in Peace, Joey Rodriguez: A Family's Final Goodbye
Donation protected
Our cousin Joey Rodriguez passed away on March 29th, just a week shy of his 55th Birthday.
Just 5 months ago, our uncle suffered a terrible fall from a roof leaving him paralyzed and unable to come home since the accident. Our aunt suffers from Dementia and our cousin Michael (Joey's youngest brother) had to stop working to care for his parents and everything else that accompanies this loss.
We have received overwhelming support from family and are reaching out to our friends and community to help lay Joey to rest. No amount is too small.
On behalf of my uncle Joe, Aunt Irma, and my cousins Shawn and Michael- Thank you and God Bless.
Joey was the oldest grandson on the Rodriguez and Escobedo sides of the family. Joey was blind and non verbal with the developmental age of a young child making him fully dependent on his parents, siblings and extended family.
Joey had a special way of bringing people together. Without Joey, we could never have met the people we met during his lifetime – all because of him.
Our sweet boy was truly our angel long before he left this earth, and we find comfort in knowing he is always with us and still bringing people together.
