Richard Matthews aka Dic, Murray River, Murray

Hi my name is Bill, I’m Richards eldest brother, Richard Matthews known to some as Dick, Dickie, Murray or Murray River was unfortunate to encounter an assault on Easter Monday and as a result was airlifted from Innisfail hospital to Cairns Hospital where he remains on life support in a serious condition.

Anyone who knows Richard knows he is a saint and a friendly face to all.

It is absolutely heartbreaking the damage that has been endured and even at this time the full extent is unclear but what we do know is - if/when Richard pulls through, his road to recovery will be an extremely long one.

All funds raised will directly assist Richard and his immediate family with his care addressing costs that he may acquire during his long journey to recovery.

On behalf of our families I would like to thank all friends and the Innisfail community for your prayers and messages of support. We are keeping these and will be sharing them with him. He certainly needs strength right now and we sincerely appreciate all of your best wishes.
