ROGER SOUTHERN

Hi my name is Dave Lovell, I am the Chairman of the Staffordshire Regimental Association Stafford Branch. Recently one of our Branch members, Roger Southern passed away alone in his flat. After several attempts to find family members we have hit a brick wall and are now seeking donations to give Roger a funeral.

Roger was a military veteran who had served in the REME as armourer. He did serve with the Staffordshire Regiment in Fallingbostel in the 80s, which led him to our Branch.

Since his passing the Branch has sought funding from the Royal British Legion, SSAFA and Government website for assistance to give Roger a Miltary style funeral, all to no avail, door shut in our faces. Not a member, so can not help seems to be the popular answer to our questions.

To get roger a funeral send off, we are seeking donations to the sum of £5,000.

The Branch are now asking you for assistance in reaching this target to stop the possibility of Roger being laid too rest in a pauper funeral/ cremation.
