No Roof, No Hope: Aid for a Widow and Her Children in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shadid Salehin, and along with my team member Munif Mughdo, I am organizing this fundraiser for Hadeel, a young mother from Gaza facing unimaginable hardships. At the young age of 24, she is going through so much pain and turmoil that most of us can't even fathom. While we wake up to our daily routines, Hadeel rises each day with a single, desperate thought: how to keep her two young children alive and safe amidst the chaos of war.
I implore you to help. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a crucial difference. If you can't donate, please share Hadeel's story. Your support could be the lifeline she desperately needs.
Below is her story:
" Hello. My name is Hadeel , and I'm reaching out to you in desperation. I'm a 24-year-old mother of two beautiful children - my 4-year-old son Mosab and my 1.5-year-old daughter Lareen. before the war.; as a law graduate from Al-Azhar University in Gaza, I was working as a lawyer , building a career and dreaming of a bright future for my family. Those dreams seem like distant memories now, all burried among the rubble of what was once our home.
Now Survival is the only objective.
The ongoing conflict has taken everything from us. My beloved husband is gone, leaving me a young widow struggling to protect our children. Our house, where we built our life together, has been reduced to nothing but debris.
I cannot put into words, the pain I feel every time , I pass by my sweet home. By Allah I'm so tired , I cannot even cry anymore.
Today, my children, 11 family members, and I are crammed into a small tent with no roof, completely exposed to the harsh realities of displacement. At night, we shiver under the open sky, enduring the biting cold; during the day, the heat inside our roofless nylon shelter becomes unbearable. We lack clean water, proper sanitation, and safe places to prepare food. Every day, I watch my children grow weaker, and I'm terrified of them falling ill when we have no access to medicine or healthcare.
The aid that trickles in is never enough. Sometimes, it's sold at prices we can't afford. I have no income, no means to provide for my family. Every day is a struggle for survival.
I never imagined I'd be in this position - begging strangers for help. But for the sake of my children, I'm swallowing my pride. Any help you can offer will make a world of difference.
Your donation, no matter how small, could be the lifeline that helps us survive this nightmare and eventually rebuild our lives. Please, if you can find it in your heart, help us. And if you can't donate, sharing our story would mean the world to us.
Thank you for reading this. Your compassion gives me hope in these dark times."
