Scholarship Fund for COTS Kids

My name is Shad Cloney and I am a Sonoma County realtor on a mission to give back to my community.
Typically during the holidays I do a coat drive, but this year I decided to reach out to our local homeless shelter to see what was truly needed. COTS (Committee on the Shelterless) shared that what their COTS kids really needed were scholorships towards camps. Specifically, to the Boys and Girls Club of Petaluma.
COTS currently has on average 55-60 children in their shelter and every single one of these children needs funding to enable them to attend camp. I want to share with you this sweet testimonial form a young girl that was able to go to camp last year......
"Thank you so much for letting me go to a camp as awesome as that. I did not want to go at first but as soon as I got up to that camp I instantly fell in love. I just wanted some time to make sure. I had the best time at that camp. Better than my previous experience at another camp. What I liked most was the fact that the kids there didn't care about money and they just cared about you as a person. It was also very laid back and a lot of fun. I am very glad and thankful for being able to go to a camp as amazing as that. So again, thank you so much and I hope I will be able to go again. "
As a father of two, I can't imagine my kids not having the opportunity to attend camp . I want to ensure that every child that is housed at COTS facility has the opportunity to experience the lifetime of memories and enrichment that come from attending camp. That is why I have created the Shad Cloney Scholorship Fund. Donations are tax deductible (tax ID 68-0176855) and contributions to the fund will be directly funneled into COTS bank account overseen by COTS CFO and used for the camp needs of the children in their facility.
Typically, it costs $125 per week to send one child to camp. The Boys and Girls Club of Petaluma has commited to sending each child at COTS for $75 each!!!! That means we can make the dream of two kids come true for what it would typically cost for one! That's just 60 people contributing $75 each until we reach our goal of sending every child to camp!
