Hello there. My name is Meredith and I am a veterinary technician/cat lover who recently moved to Georgia within the last year. Saving animals has always been my passion since I was a little girl, and I’ve dreamed of starting my own rescue for years. When I moved, I noticed the apartment complex I live at had tons of stray cats roaming about the gigantic property. I had been feeding them for months and soon began my TNR mission shortly after, but I realized these kitties were too loving to belong outside. It became my mission to start my own rescue for these kitties, which I have named Second Chance Street Cats. I have rescued and adopted out 22 cats since starting my mission in late December. These sweet kitties are tested for FIV/FelV, fixed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped before adoption. Since I am not financially able to rent or own a building for the rescue yet, we run out of foster homes. Running my own rescue has not been easy, but it is so rewarding to help these angels find their forever home. My rescue is in the process of being legally finalized through the state of Georgia. This GoFundMe page is to help me raise funds to help me continue my mission and rescue these sweet kitties from the streets and give them a second chance at the loving life they deserve.
