Hi,my name is Sara and I've just lost my husband, Simon.
He was 46 years old and we had our whole life ahead of us, it was busy but so much fun especially with our 2 young children Lucie 13 and Jacob 11.
Simons story only started in October, the photo at the top was of our holiday in October half term.
He had stomach pain and was out of sorts but when we came home I sent him to the doctors....
They said it was a blockage and to take some laxatives.
He did this in the hope of feeling better but he was losing weight so fast.
In December on the 2nd I took him to A&E and they told us he had cancer.
From then on nothing was the same.
He was in hospital for Christmas and new year he came home.
January we saw the doctors for the diagnosis,
Simon had a rare cancer in his appendix that had spread to his abdomen and there was nothing to be done, they gave him 2 weeks to spring time.
Simon came home and we had time altogether.
On the 7th February I took him to loros as he had gotten more poorly over night. I stayed cuddled up to him and nursed him through it all.
On 11th February just before 9am he took his last breath in this world.
I was with him every step of the way.
We will miss him everyday me and his children, there are no words to express how I feel and how unfair it has been for us all.
You are our world our everything ♥️
