Help the Starrett Family Kick Cancer!
Donation protected
Please continue to support the Starrett family.
Chuk Starrett, a husband and father of 3 young sons, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (blood cancer) during a routine checkup.
This is an aggressive and deadly form of Leukemia and treatment started immediately. The treatment has involved months of chemotherapy and will require a bone marrow transplant.
Only 30% of patients find a matching donor within their family. Chuk and 14,000 other blood cancer patients must rely upon a stranger to provide a second chance at life.
In May, the Steiner Ranch Community turned out in force for a Delete Blood Cancer Donor Drive. 444 people were entered into the world wide donor database and to date one match has been found from the donor drive.
We are thrilled to announce that two matching donors have been found for Chuk. He is in remission and completing his final round of chemotherapy in preparation for a bone marrow transplant this fall.
We are thankful for the support of so many friends, neighbors, and strangers throughout this challenge. Please keep us in your prayers and positive thoughts as we will continue to need your support throughout the transplant process.
