Stephanie “Kitty” Kinman & Gibson Mace

Donazione protetta
We are absolutely devastated to announce that on the evening of Friday, September 25, 2020, we had unexpectedly lost our dear friend and loved one, Stephanie “Kitty” Kinman. She went out for a meal, an altercation had broke out at the restaurant and she was shot and fatally wounded. This senseless act of violence left behind Kitty’s only child, Gibson, age 7. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. Kitty had a passion for living life loudly and being surrounded by people she loved. She had a slight purr when she sneezed, someone said she sounded like a kitten and had adopted the nickname “Kitty.” She loved her friends and would rally them to try new places to eat. She had a thirst for red wine and craft beers, her favorite being a good sour or stout. Her laugh, personality and energy were infectious and you couldn’t help but laugh along with her! It was common for her to take spontaneous trips whether it was camping or down to Rosarito Mexico, as she loved to travel. One of our fondest memories is our trip to Key West when she was living in Florida. Kitty had served our country for almost six years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After that, she focused on her academics and received her Master of Social Work from USC. She had a passion for helping those from a rough history and would do anything to help others in need. She was an advocate for the military community and devoted countless hours aiding wounded veterans. Her last position was working at a non-profit assisting veterans transition to civilian life. Kitty was a devoted and loving mother who’s entire life revolved around her sweet and intelligent boy Gibson. Even before she was pregnant with him, she had always wished and hoped for a red headed child even though her and Gibsons father Blaine were both brunettes! Surprisingly, her wish came true and Gibson was born a ginger! Her wonderful Gingerbread boy was raised to have adventures and an affection for trying new things. Kitty always had him in different activities where he was able to make new friends. Whether it was concerts, trips, or local adventures, Gibson was always right there by her side. Anytime she was upset or sad, he knew instantly and rushed to her side to ask if she was okay. They shared a love of games and barn animals. Kitty had encouraged him to wear bright colors and rock a Mohawk from time to time. Gibson is now transitioning to live full time with his father Blaine. Like Kitty, our focus is on Gibson. With her veteran benefits, the funeral costs are mostly covered. The intention of this campaign is to make sure Gibson has the financial support necessary for this sudden transition. Whatever is received will be divided into two accounts, one for immediate use in meeting Gibsons daily needs, and one account for his future education. It is going to take time for Gibson to learn and face the devastating reality of growing up without his mother. As Gibsons Godfather, I have a responsibly to ensure Gibsons future is secure to the best of my ability. In the meantime, if we can all come together and make his life a little bit easier to navigate, I know Kitty would be eternally grateful. It would mean a lot if we could share this fundraiser with anyone who knew her. Thank you so much for your consideration. May our friend, Kitty, be at peace and her legacy live on forever thru her beloved Gibson.
