Detroit Flutter

I`m DeAngelo Hughes and I am out to help people with coping and help find hope and a sense of comfort after loss. I lost my mother to Hypertensive Heart Disease in 2011, (when I was 13 years old), and when this happened, I wasn’t really able to express myself, wasn’t able to deal with it or share my story. I felt alone and like my mother`s death was because of me. I felt like committing suicide. People cared about me and tried to help me, but they couldn’t really relate and I didn’t want them to relate to what I was going through.

That`s why I am creating a Detroit Flutter Chapter. I want to give people who lose parents, guardians, children, someone or something a chance to come together and find something new and people that can relate to them.Detroit Flutter is a place where people can connect and share their stories about losing someone through death and loss of friendship. On the Detroit Flutter site, they can find people experiencing similar things and connect in a meaningful way. And, through these connections, I can honor my mother!

I am raising money to get Detroit Flutter 501c3 papers filed so Detroit Flutter can receive funding for it is a nonprofit, raise money to buy and build website, as well as pay for a resident agent.
