Hi, my name is Stephanie Herren, and I am raising funds for my sweet friend, Summer, who is more like my family.

She is a fantastic wife, mom, friend, sister, prayer warrior, and bright light in this dark world.

To those that know her, know how blessed they are. To those who don't know her(yet), you will soon see why her smile lights up a room and how many people can call her friend.

Summer has been on a journey for the last 18 months. She didn't necessarily see this journey coming. But here, she and her family are walking this somewhat uncertain road.

Summer was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. To say it in simple terms, she has Breast Cancer that has spread.

The doctors here in the United States have not given Summer too many options or hope for her future. Because of this, she and her husband Joe have had to look elsewhere for treatment. She has contacted several facilities in Tijuana, Mexico. These treatment facilities offer cancer patients everything they need to heal in mind, body, and spirit.

After prayerful consideration, Summer has decided that this is the route she needs to go. This is the path that God has put her and her family on.

Here is where you and I come in to play. Insurance companies do not cover alternative care for cancer patients. They will not pay for her flight, treatment, or lodging. Not only do they need our prayers, but they need financial support. It's time for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus!!

Is it costly? Sure. Is it time away from her family and friends? Yes. Is it going to take patience, hard work, and determination? Absolutely. But is it what Summer needs to do to heal her body, get back to living a full life as wife and mom, and is it 100% completely worth it? YES!!!

Every little bit helps. Every large amount helps. Our prayers and financial support will bless Summer, Joe, and their beautiful kids more than we will ever know.

UPDATE!!!!

Summer has found her treatment facility! It's in Cancun, Mexico. It is an outpatient facility, and she will spend about three weeks there. As you noticed, we have also updated the amount of financial support she needs to travel to Mexico.

The reason for this increase is that this particular facility not only treats her on site for three weeks but then sends her home with a few month's worths of treatments, AND she will also go back to Mexico two more times for follow-up appointments.

They want to ensure that their patients are cared for and that they don't have to go through a season like this again.

Please continue to share this account so that her story is spread as far as possible. Please continue to pray for Summer, Joe, and their children. Pray for peace, healing, guidance, and financial provisions.
