Support Asheville Therapists Providing Disaster Services

Asheville DBT and Trauma is a small team of therapists that has provided for the mental health needs of the Asheville community since 2021. Based in Biltmore Village, the team offers individual, family, group, and couples counseling through a variety of evidence-based practices. We specialize in trauma, grief, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation.

We are asking for assistance to continue offering therapy services to our many clients who are unemployed for the foreseeable future, as well as supporting our staff who were impacted by the floods, and expanding our services to offer walk-in and/or mobile therapy services in response to Hurricane Helene.

Donations will go directly towards:

1. Offering pro-bono and low-fee therapy to members of our Asheville community

2. Continuing to provide payroll for our 5-10 therapists that were directly affected and unable to see clients at this time

3. Helping pay expenses related to establishing a disaster relief walk-in therapy clinic and/or mobile therapy services for harder to reach areas

As we recover from our own experiences in the wake of Hurricane Helene, we also feel called to open our doors to the community during this time of suffering. Our goal is to facilitate the beginning of the healing process for those who have experienced trauma and loss in our community.

Donations to this fundraiser will empower our team of therapists to offer services to local residents at little to no cost, based upon need, while allowing our therapists to maintain a living wage helping their community.
