Help Family from NC displaced by Helene devastation

This fundraiser is to benefit Laura Vitellino’s family, who I know personally. They live in Burnsville, NC and have two young girls and three pets. After hurricane Helene hit this area, it caused floods and landslides, with tons of mud, broken trees, washed away roads and destroyed houses.

Running down water from the mountains, sweped away everything from around of family’s house, including the roads. They became disconnected… After a week of being in isolation, without power and water, luckily, they were spotted by the rescue team and succsesfuly lifted out by helicopter to a safe place. That saved theirs lifes!

Since then the family’s life has drastically changed and now for an indeterminate time they are forced to stay sheltered.

Like lots of other victims of hurricane Helene, they would be thankful and appreciative for any amount of donations given. They need a temporary home, food, clothes and all other supplies to survive and keep going. They have no idea when they will be able to return home. It can take months to years to rebuild all that was destroyed by this powerful disaster.
