Support Erica's Dad Through Life-Saving Medical Care

Hi everyone, my name is Erica and I created this GoFundMe for my dad. He's in his late 50's and has been in the hospital for over a week now with ongoing critical medical issues. Prior to the hospital, he has very minimal health issues and was working along with other family members. Since being in the hospital, he's been seen by multiple specialists. He has recently just started on his journey on dialysis and will eventually need a kidney transplant. He also needs a serious open heart surgery for a possible triple bypass due to a recent heart attack due to the damages to his heart. His medical team has been very proactive in communicating with my family about all of his future medical needs. As his power of attorney, but more importantly as his daughter, I see him struggling to fight his fears and finding the will to stay strong. There have been many medical procedures and testing done, but all have been very necessary to help him get better. But as the days go by, the thoughts of what else more he needs has brought him and my family worry about how we will financially push through this difficult time.

Along with his own medical challenges, my family also experienced the death of my grandparent a few days prior. While his funeral will take place in another country, our family's priority right now is to be his bedside and his health during our time of grieving. In the mist of all these high emotions, my family is at a vulnerable place physically, emotionally, and financially.

During this difficult time for my family, I am very grateful for everyone who has taken the time to read my story. While I am unsure of how his medical bills look at this time, I wanted to start this fund to give him a piece of mind that there are loved ones, friends, and even strangers who believe in him.
