The Nez Family

Hi, my name is Terry Nez and I'd like to tell you about my daughter Stephanie Nez. Stephanie has been a fighter since before she was born. She was born on October 16, 1987 with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, but she managed to get a tiny hand under it to keep it from choking her. As she grew up, she was not afraid of challenges. but lived her life to the fullest. She was kind, a hard worker, and loved animals, especially her 2 cats, Ollie and Gracie, and her dog, Tucker. She worked in the restaurant industry in Vancouver, Washington. Unfortunately, in the last few years, she began a fight with alcohol addiction that would take her life on March 26, 2024.

Her death has not only been a shock for all of us, but the timing has presented a financial burden on our family. Because it would be not only difficult, but also too expensive to send her body to Kentucky, we have decided to have her cremated and the ashes sent to me. Someone special has stepped up and paid for her cremation. Also, a dear friend is packing up her belongings and putting them in storage until we can get someone there. My health is not good enough for me to go to Washington. Stephanie's father, Bill, is retired, and lives in Arizona with her sister, Stacy, who works in a medical office and is currently attending college classes online. They plan to go to Washington in early May to retrieve Stephanie's belongings from storage and mail them to various family members. We are asking for your support to help with transportation, rental car, and lodging as well as funds to send her belongings by mail. We are also planning to have a private family memorial service for Stephanie in Kentucky and are asking for your help to get Bill and Stacy here so that we can honor Stephanie's memory.
