Thank you for helping lift up Jeff and Jaclyn during this challenging time.
Alison Mann Nottage and Jeff Nottage are 1981 graduates of Florida A&M University. They have done everything RIGHT! Jeff had been self-employed for almost 20 years. Alison had been in the banking industry for 35 years and working at the executive level at SunTrust Bank in Atlanta for 17 years when her position was eliminated during downsizing activities. Alison soon after became sick from breast cancer which unfortunately took her life on May 31, 2016, one day after celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary. Jeff was the perfect partner, and cared for Alison with love, kindness and compassion throughout her illness. Their finances were destroyed from loss of employment, deferral of most self-employment opportunities, loss of medical insurance, unimaginable amount of medical expenses from a multitude of cancer surgeries and treatments, loss of life insurance policies, loss of home equity, (due to refinancing to cover living expenses while all of the previous events were occurring), etc.
Now, more hurt. We just found out that Jeff and daughter Jaclyn are losing the house and they need to be out by March 31 - in less than two weeks. Like many of us, Jeff is a proud man and found himself in a place of not being able to ask for help. . .not even knowing how to ask for help, as he and Alison have spent their lives always giving to others.
We siblings have joined together but are unable to reach the full goal - $25,000* – on our own. This is the amount it will take to stop foreclosure and allow Jeff and Jaclyn enough time to make decisions on their own terms. Our timeline is short and we appreciate any support you can provide to help lift up Jeff and Jaclyn during this most challenging time.
