Recovery Fund

On Saturday morning, July 16th, 2022, I experienced a 2-alarm fire. The house that has been in my family since 1934, where I made a home with my husband, where I cared for him until his final moments, where I have lived my entire adult life, is gone. My family heirlooms, my treasures, my wedding photos. My six beloved dogs, Card, Elsie Rose, Trixie Bell, Colby, Theo, and Peewee. I lost them all in the span of a few minutes.

I survived that day thanks to the selfless firefighters and caring hospital staff who came to my aid, and I survived the days that followed thanks to the love and kindness of my friends and family. They are wrapped in my everlasting gratitude, as is every prayer and act of kindness.
