The Walsh Wednesday Fund Drive
Hey there! I'm Conor Walsh, host and producer of the show Walsh Wednesday. From 2017 - 2021, Walsh Wednesday was merely a hobby I did on the side interviewing guests from my community. Now, after a hiatus of over 3 years, Walsh Wednesday is back, and I'm looking to make this into a legit business offering high-quality production and meaningful segments!
Essentially, Walsh Wednesday is a talk show that encourages open and honest conversations promoting growth, education, and authenticity. In short, Walsh Wednesday is your mild-mannered, friendly-neighborhood podcast that you love to spend some time with!
I feel so blessed to have been able to bring back the program in 2025, and launch the first 10 episodes of the revived series! It's been great to speak with the first 24 guests, and I'm excited for what's to come! But starting a business is not cheap, and if I want to keep producing quality content highlighting New York's News, Entertainment, and Sports, I need your help!
By becoming a donor, you are investing in grass-rooted community outreach, arts and entertainment, up-and-coming creators, local businesses, regional/national charities, and other important causes. Of course, I am absolutely thankful for whatever amount you're able to give!
If you are a business who would like to advertise through Walsh Wednesday, and would like to sponsor a number of episodes, please contact me , write "Walsh Wednesday Fund Drive" in the subject of the email, and I would be happy to work out a deal that works best for your goals and budget.
Getting Laid Off to Starting a Business
Back in November of 2024, I was laid off from my job at Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley, where I was the host and producer of an award-winning public affairs series and a star-studded arts and entertainment talk show. Not long after the layoff, I decided that I wanted to continue my adventure in entertainment journalism by reviving my old podcast, Walsh Wednesday! I relaunched the series back on January 8th, 2025, and have featured actors, musicians, authors, athletes, philanthropists, business owners, community leaders, and more.
Just in the last couple of months, I've featured folks like New York Yankees Legend turned Jazz Musician Bernie Williams; from WICKED: THE MUSICAL on Broadway, Conductor/Pianist/Composer Paul Loesel; and I'm just about to release my interview with Multi-Platinum Grammy-Nominated Artist Five For Fighting.

__________
Why Walsh Wednesday?
Conor Walsh has nearly 10 years of experience in Entertainment and Community Journalism as a writer, editor, host and producer. In 2016, in his freshman year of college, Conor Walsh launched the first iteration of the Walsh Wednesday podcast and web series, based on a monthly performance-based program he did in high school. This early iteration of Walsh Wednesday focused interviews surrounding community events, charities and local entertainment in the Hudson Valley and Capital Regions of New York.
Notable episodes included highlighting members of the American Cancer Society, Manic Cat Record’s Pie to the Face Challenge, “Morning Mayor of the Hudson Valley” and esteemed radio host Joe Daily, Guiness World Record Holding Pianist Ethan Bortnick, award-winning Nashville songwriter and artist Ash Taylor, and Platinum-Selling musical acts like 3oh!3 and Jay Sean. Walsh Wednesday grew and developed through 2021, leading to spin-offs such as The Walsh Wednesday Concert Series, Walsh Wednesday Spotlights, and Walsh Wednesday: The Reflective Series.
In 2019, Conor Walsh interned for 97.7/106.1 WEXT in Troy, New York, where he conducted and edited interviews, particularly WEXT’s Woodstock 50th Anniversary Celebration Series. In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Conor Walsh was commissioned by the College of Saint Rose to create Saint Rose Rocks. The program was meant to combat the social isolation of the pandemic by providing “music for the Golden Knights by the Golden Knights.” Episodes ran weekly from April through December of 2020.
Walsh Wednesday went into hiatus in late 2021, around the time Conor Walsh was hired by Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley, where he began to host a weekend radio show on 92.7/96.9 WRRV, Keepin’ Company w/ Conor. Later, Conor Walsh went on to host and produce In Touch, Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley’s Award–Winning Public Affairs and Issues Program from August of 2022 to November of 2024. During that time, he released over 120 episodes of In Touch. While the host and producer of the program, In Touch won the Excellence in Broadcasting Awards for “Outstanding Public Affairs Series” in 2023 and 2024, and “Outstanding Editorial/Commentary” in 2024 from the New York State Broadcasting Association.
He then created the Arts and Entertainment-Based Spinoff of In Touch called Townsquare Spotlight, which ran from April to November of 2024, releasing over 30 episodes. Notable guests included New York Yankee Legend and Renowned Jazz Musician Bernie Williams, Grammy-Nominated Platinum-Selling Artist Five For Fighting, The Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo, Golden Globe Nominated Actress Mel Harris, super model and filmmaker Katie Cleary, Hollywood Icon Clint Howard, Founder of “The John Ritter Foundation” and comedic actress Amy Yasbeck, Producer/Director/Actor Jerry Adler, Billboard-Charting Musician (and son of the legendary Jim Croce) AJ Croce, and TV Legend Tony Danza.
