My name is Winoka Wendy Wilkes and I am currently suffering from End Stage Renal Disease and without a kidney transplant I am going to die. Bluntly stating my situation is the only clear way to relay my need for your help.
My story starts with Lupus. I have had Lupus for over 20 years and it has reeked havoc on my body. Thankfully I was able to fulfill my dreams of attending college, creating a family, and establishing a career before I became too ill. I have plans for my future, but they can only be achieved if I receive a donor kiney.
My kidneys are functioning at less than 5%. I am currently on dialysis which does extend my life, but is also very taxing on my body and spirit. My life currently revolves around having my blood removed from my body, cleansed through a machine and returned 4 hours a day, 3 days a week for 52 weeks a year...until I die.
No one in my family is a match. I am hoping to find someone to save MY life.
This campaign is to raise the money necessary to purchase 1 or 2 billboards advertising my need for a donor organ. In the coming days I will be ramping up a marketing campaign to find a donor and a billboard will be an accent to the ground work.
I am asking for help to fund this as it is personally cost prohibitive for me right now. If my story touches you, I would be very grateful for any amout that you can spare.
