Your donations will help him reunite with his family in Fiji

Hi, my name is Helen Bureitetau, and I am reaching out to share my heartfelt concerns for my nephew, Tabweranibwe Tarawa (DOB: 06/08/1987) of Fiji.
Recently, our family has faced an unimaginable tragedy. What started as a hopeful fishing trip meant to support his family has turned into a nightmare. While resting aboard the fishing vessel "Winning 6," Tabweranibwe was unexpectedly and violently attacked by one of his fellow crew members. Since Saturday, February 15, 2025, he has been fighting for his life at Vaiola Hospital in Tonga.
This situation has left his family devastated, grappling with overwhelming challenges during this heartbreaking time. To make matters worse, the company involved has provided no assistance, forcing them to confront the burden of mounting medical expenses and urgent needs that remain unmet.
In light of this tragic incident, we are seeking justice and compassion for my beloved nephew. Any support you can offer would mean the world to us. If you are in Tonga, visiting him would bring much comfort during this difficult time. Moreover, any information you could provide to the Tonga Police regarding the circumstances of this incident would be invaluable as his family seeks answers.
They are actively engaging with relevant authorities here in Fiji, holding onto the hope of being reunited with him when he returns home.
Your generous donations will go directly towards covering his medical bills, the return air tickets for two passengers from Suva to Tonga, and food expenses.
Sadly, this is not the first time our seamen have faced such perilous situations while working to support their families. Many have suffered serious injuries or tragically lost their lives at sea. Too often, when these families seek justice, their pleas are overlooked, and they receive little to no support during such dire times.
We are only hopeful that good Samaritans like you will help us achieve our goal of paying off his medical bills and for families to visit him.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your compassion and kindness in this challenging moment. Your support means everything to us and is truly appreciated.
Much love and prayers,
Helen
