Clyde Needs Surgery

This is Clyde! He was left behind at Treasure Creek by a sheep herder and was alone for at least 2 weeks. He went through a snow storm, went without food for a least a couple days, if not weeks. We first saw him near the end of Aug. with the herd of sheep when looking for deer. My mother-in-law and I rescued him on 9/19 after my boyfriend and his father went hunting and they noticed the dog had gotten left behind, while the sheep and herder were gone. He has trouble with his back legs and we’re assuming this is why he might have been left behind. I took Clyde to the vet today thinking the worst would be hip dysplasia, but the vet took an x-ray and Clyde’s T13 is severely damaged and is pinching his spinal cord. The only way for him to have a chance according to the vet is by surgery, or he will just be in pain and eventually be paralyzed. They’re not sure if he was born with it or if it was from an injury, but it’s not the news I was hoping to hear. If there is anyway you can spare anything, please help this little guy out! He’s only 5-6 months, he is the sweetest pup and just deserves a chance. Anything helps! Thank you!
