EMERGENCY- Save Chief's Life

I never thought I would ask anyone for money but this is urgent and life or death and I haven't the time to try to earn it myself. Chief has an unidentified (as of yet) stomach/bowel obstruction and needs an immediate surgery and possible bowel resect in order to save his life. It may be an allergic reaction to a different dewormer than he's had before. Not much is known at this point. 

I haven't got much time. He needs to be transferred to a hospital several hours away and he needs to go ASAP or I will be forced to euthanize him. 

He is only 6. I have had him since he was a baby (read: I did not go out and buy a horse I could not afford!) and do not want to lose him like this. He deserves a chance to live a natural lifespan and not be prevented from it because of my financial crisis. I am happy to explain why I cannot pay for it myself to anyone who asks privately.  

I will pay back anyone who wishes to be paid back; I just need the money as soon as humanly possible or I will have to say goodbye to this sweet, gorgeous horse.

p.s. Regarding the amount; I was quoted $5k on the low end, $10k on the high end.  This horse is worth more than that, and besides his financial value, he is loved. I will refund any overages collected!!!
